German Language Bachelor´s Programs:
Bioverfahrenstechnik (Bioprocess Engineering)
Three-year Bachelor of Science Course
Biotechnology provides the foundations for sustainable production of products to supply the world’s people with food, medicines and other essential commodities. This requires interdisciplinary application of natural science (especially biology and chemistry) and engineering. Many everyday products are manufactured using biotechnological production processes. Biotechnological conversion is also employed to utilize by-products and minimize residues in the interest of sustainable production. To satisfy an increasing global demand for the development and operation of biotechnological processes for the manufacture of essential everyday products, engineers with biotechnological knowledge and skills are required.
After obtaining a Bachelor’s degree in Bioprocess Engineering, you can continue your studies at the TUHH in:
–> Bioverfahrenstechnik (Bioprocess Engineering)
–> Internationales Wirtschaftsingenieurwesen (Industrial Engineering Management)
–> Chemical and Bioprocess Engineering
–> Joint European Master in Environmental Studies (JEMES) (Funded under the EU Erasmus Mundus network of excellence program)
(Internationally oriented, predominantly English-medium courses)
(Each a two-year Master of Science course)
