Mechatronik (Mechatronics)

MechatronikThree-year Bachelor of Science Course

What is special about mechatronics specialists is their wide-ranging knowledge, spanning the disciplines of mechanics, electronics, computer science and control engineering. This enables them to link methods and tools from the individual disciplines and to solve problems at the interface of these fields. Also will cross-disciplinary abilities and knowledge of systems theory mechatronics specialists must have strong teamwork skills, because they are often employed as project coordinators.

The spectrum of mechatronic systems includes entertainment electronics systems (CD changers and games consoles), production technology (robots and machine tools), medical engineering (CT and MRI scanners), and automotive engineering (ABS, ESP, traffic sign recognition). Mechatronic systems feature in all economic and industrial sectors. This subject therefore offers one of the widest career choice bandwidths of all engineering disciplines.

After obtaining a Bachelor’s degree in Mechatronics, you can continue your studies at the TUHH in:

–> Mechatronics
(Internationally oriented, predominantly English-medium course)
–> Internationales Wirtschaftsingenieurwesen (Industrial Engineering Management)

(Each a two-year Master of Science course)
