(Medical Engineering)

Two-year Master of Science course

The consecutive Master Program in Medical Engineering builds on the corresponding special subject taken as part of the Bachelor in General Engineering Science at the TUHH. It presupposes the in-depth knowledge of the principles of mathematics and natural science, engineering science and medical engineering taught on that course, which may if necessary be verified. The central focus of this discipline is on acquiring knowledge and skills in the engineering-specific, medical and business management aspects of patient care. An interdisciplinary training is required in order to cover this entire spectrum. This is reflected in the wide range of course contents offered and participating institutions.

The contents of each subject area occupy approximately one third of the course. Students can select their main focus of study individually through their choice of topics for papers and seminars and of compulsory elective subjects from the extensive range on offer. The curriculum for this interdisciplinary and future-oriented Master program also includes Project Management and Research and Development.
