(Water and Environmental Engineering)

Two-year Master of Science course

The Master Program in Water and Environmental Engineering conveys in-depth knowledge in selected areas of environment-related civil engineering. The program is structured on the “3 out of 5 plus 1” principle. Students have the opportunity to choose three out of the five consolidation blocks offered and to designate a course specialization. The following subject areas are offered as specializations:

  • Urban water resources (water supply, sewage management)
  • Urban environment management (waste management, energy recovery)
  • Environmental and water resources management (hydrology, river catchments)

The specialization includes a major project report. In addition, an extensive range of compulsory elective subjects is available to students. They can thus specialize further and/or widen their breadth of training. The choice of special subjects and majors is based on personal interests and/or later career goals, for which recommendations are made. The fourth semester of the program is for preparing the Master’s thesis.
