Compass - Live-in Student Orientation is a tutor program which aims to provide support for international TUHH students, arriving in Hamburg from abroad to live in a student hall. There are tutors, who live in student halls in Harburg, available to support you.
Before you arrive in Hamburg
You are welcome contact us by email before you arrive in Hamburg. We will do our best to answer your questions and provide you with information about the day-to-day living in student halls of residence in Hamburg and help you to prepare for your arrival. We can give you information about how to reach the student hall and gain access to your room.
On your arrival in Hamburg
We will also be able to assist you on your arrival in Hamburg, to help you get off to a good start on your course at TUHH. During your first few days in Hamburg we will be available to assist you in the paperwork, required for your registration at TUHH. Through initial Compass activities you can also gain the opportunity to get to know other students living in your student hall. We hope that you will soon feel at home there.
During your stay in your student hall
Throughout the year Compass tutors will also be offering interesting activities in the student halls so that you can meet other students more easily. We also hope to make it possible for you to form groups and follow your own interests. We very much welcome new ideas and active participation! If you experience difficulties during your stay in the student hall, we will be there to talk to and help you find steps towards a solution.
