1. Registration in Hamburg
First of all you need to register Residents' Registration Office in order to complete the rest of the formalities required for your registration at TUHH, open a bank account etc. At the beginning of the semester we, the Compass tutor team, organize visits to Welcome Center for this purpose. 2. Bank Account
You need a bank account in Germany in order to get to organize your life here e.g. take out a health insurance policy, pay your registration fees etc. The Compass team also organizes visits to banks to help you get through the formalities quicker.
3. Health Insurance
Students in Germany are obliged to be insured by a German health insurance company. This does not apply to students from EU countries who use an E-128 or E-111 form or a European health insurance card.

3. Enrolment at TUHH
After registering with the city of Hamburg, opening a bank account and taking out health insurance, you can register at TUHH.
