DIRECTIONS

- GETTING TO YOUR STUDENT HALL

Buying a ticket:

  • You can buy a ticket (Fahrkarte) which is valid on all of  Hamburg's trains (S-Bahn und U-Bahn) and buses at any machine that looks like this.

 

  • Select your preferred language.
  • On the screen you will see the various tickets available.

  • The “Single ticket” (3) is valid for the distance needed to reach almost any destination in Hamburg. This ticket will get you from the airport to your student hall. It will cost you 2.80 Euros.
  • *Machines accept larger coins and €10 and €20 notes. The euro is the only currency that they accept.

From Hamburg airport by public transport (train):

  1. From Terminal 1, take the S1 to Jungfernstieg.
  2. From Jungfernstieg take S3 - (direction  NEUGRABEN, STADE or BUXTEHUDE) in the opposite platform and get off at HARBURG Station (5 stations from Jungfernstieg), for Wohnanlage Harburg or Wohnhäuser Harburg (Bunatwiete). If you are going to Wohnhaus Triftstraße, stay on the train until HEIMFELD (2 more stations from Harburg).

From Harburg station to the student halls

Wohnanlage Harburg and Wohnhäuser Harburg (Bunatwiete)

In Harburg, walk in the same direction as the train. Go upstairs and follow the signs to the exit for MOORSTRASSE.

Then use the map below to find your way to your hall. It is just a few minutes away from the station on foot. (Please note Wohnanlage Harburg is marked “Schüttstraße” on the map.)

Wohnhaus Triftstraße

If you are going to Triftstraße stay on the S3 and get off at HEIMFELD station. From there take bus 142 direction AK HARBURG.

Get off at the bus stop TRIFTSTRASSE and your hall of residence will be on your right, just behind the bus stop.

Please note: When you get on the bus, you will need to show your ticket to the bus driver.

  • Heimfelder Straße     3 min
  • AK Harburg              5 min

  • Triftstraße                 8 min (total)

From Lübeck Airport:

RyanAir runs buses from Lübeck Airport to Hamburg Hauptbahnof (Central Station). The timing of these buses is usually synchronized with the RyanAir flights.

From the Central Station take the S3 direction NEUGRABEN, STADE or BUXTEHUDE (usually platform 4) and get off at the station Harburg, for Wohnanlage Harburg or Wohnhäuser Harburg (Bunatwiete).

If you are going to Wohnhaus Triftstraße, continue to Heimfeld (2 more stations).
