There is a total of 495 rooms for students in Gustav-Radbruch-Haus. A small number of rooms have been reserved for TUHH exchange students.This of residence lies close to the centre of Hamburg, not far from the underground station Berliner Tor. Parking spaces for cars and motorbikes can be rented from the house administrator. Bicycle parking is also available.
Students live in single rooms, sharing a fully equipped kitchen and bathroom facilites.The rooms are furnished and10-15 m² in size. Between three and eight students live in each flat. Basic cleaning of the communal areas on a two weekly basis is included in the rent. However apart from this, it should be taken care of by the residents themselves. Each room has sockets for cable TV, Internet and a telephone. Television sets should be registered with the GEZ (for a small charge) and telephone contracts are the residents' responsibility.
This hall of residence has a tea room and a bar, run by the residents themselves. There is also a hall in the building which can be used for various activities. This student hall also provides workgroups for pottery, film, photo, woodwork and cycling. A music practice room with piano may also be used. Coin-operated washing machines are also available on the premises.
The monthly rent is €264,-
The rent includes costs for heating, water, electricity etc. The cost of the Internet connection is also included, with a monthly use of two gigabytes. This price also includes regular basic cleaning of the communal facilities.
