Studying Abroad: Advice and Information
If you are planning do a part of your studies abroad, the TUHH's International Office should be your first port of call. It offers you:
- Detailed initial advice on studying abroad (organization and financing)
- Specific assistance with application formalities (to partner universities)

→ By means of partnership agreements the International Office maintains a large number of contacts all over the world that students can make use of to study abroad
→ The International Office has extensive information about scholarships to study abroad that is also at students' disposal
→ You can borrow from the International Office a variety of documents (lecture schedules, study guides, reports of personal experiences, etc.)
→ The International Office can also put you in touch with students who can tell you about universities and conditions of studying abroad

German Academic Exchange Service (DAAD)
The DAAD e.V. is a joint institution run by German universities to promote, inter alia, international exchange of students and academics. That being the case, it has a wide range of information about studying abroad at the ready for you. The DAAD website is well worth looking into (see Link list). The International Office also holds information provided by the DAAD. So if you have any queries, it is always a good idea to consult the International Office before contacting the DAAD.
Cultural Departments of German Embassies and Foreign Cultural Institutes
The embassies' cultural departments frequently provide information about study opportunities and conditions in their host countries. In addition, some countries have cultural institutes of their own that are happy to provide information. They include the British Council, the Institut Français, the Amerikahaus, etc. These institutes offer information on the Internet, but in most cases you can also call at their local offices.
