Preparatory semester

Master programs at TUHH start every winter semester. Application for summer semester is possible, but this might lengthen your study period in total, as the 1. semester lectures will only be given in winter semester. 

TUHH offers two alternatives to prepare for your studies during summer semester. 

1. The preparatory semester (SVS= Studienvorbereitungssemester) could be used to 

• do a practical training/internship via the program TUHH-PraxisPlus ,
• do an independend practical training/internship,
• do Softskills-courses at TUHH.

2. The special preparatory course Master-SPRINT for international Bachelors from foreign Universities in co-operation with Studienkolleg Hamburg 

The Master-SPRINT-course is a special offer in the field of German language (including a recognized German language exam for University entrance) and academic preparation for Master studies. The course will be given in summer semester 2011 for the first time. 

You will be registered as a student in both programs. The programs are free of tuition fee as you are not registered in the Master program.
