The TUHH stages several information events each year for prospective students. Each event has a different main focus and alignment.

The TUHH will open its doors to all school students in years 5 to 13 and their teachers. An extensive program of events will provide detailed information about all aspects of engineering sciences and engineering as a career. In addition, there will be an entertaining supporting program on the subject of engineering. Talks by TUHH academics and engineers from the Hamburg region, research visits to many TUHH institutes (students from year 9) and industrial concerns in the region will demonstrate that mathematical and scientific subjects at school are important foundations for research and development in engineering.

What Does it Mean Specifically to Study Engineering Sciences?
TUHH4YOU provides answers to this question. Our aim is to enable you to make an informed decision about which course to enrol for by giving you some insights into everyday student life before you commence your studies, and by telling you about the requirements and opportunities for study at the TUHH.

TUHH4YOU – For Who?
High-school graduates and those interested in applying for a Bachelor course at the Hamburg University of Technology (TUHH) from October 2012.

Who is the Organizer?
A joint project of the Central Student Counseling Service, student tutors and specialist advisory services of the TUHH.

Our aim is to provide you with a little foretaste. Do you know, for example, what a mechanical engineer or a medical engineer does? Would you like to know what skills you need, where you can work and what everyday working life is like? Would you like to accompany us on a visit to the AIRBUS works in Finkenwerder, to the Blohm + Voss shipyard or to NXP Semiconductors in Hamburg? You will find all this and a great deal more about study opportunities at the TUHH on our taster course.
