Reregistering, taking a sabbatical semester and change of course of studies
Notes for reregistration
Reregistration involves paying the necessary contribution and fees. The periods specified for reregistration are:
- summer semester: February 1 - March 15
- winter semester: August 1 - September 15.

Please note the reregistration deadline!
Registeration deadline for the summer semester 2012 was March 15, 2012.
Reregistration involves paying your semester contribution and your tuition fee on time (!). For the summer semester 2012 your fee and contribution must be credited to the TUHH's bank accounts by March 15, 2012 at the latest.
NB: This deadline does not apply to students registering for the first time at the TUHH. They only need to pay once they have received the paying-in form.

The best way to pay is to use the paying-in form. That seldom leads to booking errors.
The other option is to use a paying-in form of your own or to use an online banking facility. If you do that, the following information must be included:

Please write in your immatriculation number directly followed by a hyphen (-) and the number 13, which enables us to allocate your payment to the summer semester 2012.
If you transfer the money from another country please make sure that the extra transfer fees are covered!
Delayed Reregistration
In case you missed the reregistration deadline, an additional fee of 30 € has to be paid (according to the "Gebührenordnung für das Hochschulwesen", Anlage A, number 4). The 30 € have to be paid to:

Reference: your immatriculation number - "verspätete RM".
Payment by EC-card at the admissions office is also possible. You will receive your semester documents after the fee was credited to this bank account.
Change of course of studies
If you are planning to change your course of studies please get in contact with the admissions office as soon as possible. Some information can also be found in the FAQs.
Taking a sabbatical semester
If you are either unable or unwilling to attend lectures in the next semester, you may take time out from your studies. The maximum number of sabbatical semesters is two (one during Bachelors studies and one during Masters studies). The application form for a sabbatical could be found here (PDF).
Even during a sabbatical you must continue to pay the semester fee. Please bear in mind that no financial support through BAföG will be given during a sabbatical. For further information please contact Studierendenwerk Hamburg.
But first apply for the sabbatical and then remit the semester fee!

Enrollment Regulations and Student Status
In the Hamburg University of Technology´s Study Regulations the procedures of enrollment, re-registration, leave of absence and removal from the student register are fixed.
