The institute Thermal Separation Processes is incorporated in the research fields "Integrierte Biotechnologie und Prozesstechnik" and "Energie und Umwelttechnik" at the Hamburg University of Technology (TUHH). Research topics include experimental and theoretical works concerning the following topics:

  • Supercritical fluids
  • Thermodynamics of biological relevant systems
  • Downstream processes
  • Heat and mass transfer
  • Energy process engineering
  • Boundary layer process engineering
  • Food process engineering
