Mobile Communications

3G mobile communication systems known as UMTS struggled to become operational and are today successfully deployed. Enhancements and improvements, such as High Speed Packet Access (HSPA) have been introduced. 4G communication systems are und preparation and need to be modelled, described and will shortly be implemented. What are data rates 4G can meet? What is next? These are questions addressed at the Institute of Communication Networks at TUHH. Particular focus is on access network dimensioning, end-to-end performance, simulating and analytical modelling.
