Content:

Basic physical and chemical principles to describe the structure and properties of ceramic materials will be shown. In order to describe the defect chemie and phänomens like electronic transport of ceramic materials the Kröger-Fink-Notation will be introduced. Based on the binary phase diagrams known from the lecture Werkstoffkunde II ternäry phase diagrams will be established. Further topics of the lecture will be diffusion, basics for the understanding of solid- and liquid-phase-sintering also topic of the lecture.
