Methods and Fundamentals

Systems Biology

Functional genomics is used in combination with engineering tools and mathematical modeling to study cellular processes at multiple molecular levels (interacting networks). In particular, we deal with fast dynamics of metabolism, its compartmentation and the role of metabolites in gene regulation. Efforts are made to develop synthetic pathways and minimal cells in a long term.
