Organisation chart

The structure of the computing center (RZ) has been reorganized to the 1st of october 2010.

The Single Point of Contact (SPOC) is the central contact point for all customers of the computing center. The SPOC is divided into the new Service Desk (SD) for telephone and email requests and the well established User Service Center (USC) for face-to-face contact.

The SD-Team and the USC-Team open a ticket for each incident report or service request by using a Trouble Ticket System (TTS). If they cannot solve the problem, they forward the ticket to the colleague in the appropriate department:
- RZ50 “RZ organization and administration”
- RZ51 “IT-infrastructure”
- RZ52 “IT-service for research and teaching”
- RZ53 “IT-service for administration and SLS”

The organization of the computing center is under a constant improvement (KVP) to establish the IT-service-organization. This means the change from a technology based organization to a service orientated organization. Against this background the process Incident Management has been established in the computing center. Other processes how the Security Management, the Change Management and the Service-Level-Management will follow.
