Instructions for scanning in the USC
German Version of this page. (A better way is to switch your browser to German.)
Basically you need to do the following:
- Launch Adobe Photoshop
- Launch the scan-dialog
- Adjust the parameters for the scan
- Import the scan into Photoshop
- Store the scan into a file on your homedrive H:
Launch Adobe Photoshop
Launch Photoshop via startmenu in
Start / All Programs / Adobe Master Collection CS4 / Adobe Photoshop CS4.
Launch the scan-dialog

You find the scan-dialog by choosing File / Import / Name of the Scanner.
There may be other applications on the system that offer TWAIN-functionality. Who knows how may use these as well.
Adjust the parameters for the scan

You can adjust the settings by using one of the predefined schemes.

In the advanced options, you can adjust the resolution in DPI if needed.
Store the scan into a file on your homedrive H:
After previewing, scanning, cropping or whatever you intend to do with the material, please keep in mind that you save your data to your homedrive H:
Do not choose your desktop or other folders in your locally cached profile as target, since it will not be synced back to the server!
