MSDNAA and ELMS at the TUHH
This document describes how one can burn the Microsoft softwares, that are available for free within the scope of the MSDNAA program, on a CD.Burn the CD
Insert an empty recordable CD into the CD drive, then click on "start", then on "My computer".
Enter "C:\Temp" and click on "Go"..

The contents of the temp-folder are displayed, including the downloaded software.
For the further procedure you must differentiate between an ISO (image) file or a EXE (program) file:
- the file name of ISO files ends on iso,
- the file name of EXE files ends on exe.
Both file types also have different symbols next to their names, see picture.

How to burn ISO-files
For burning ISO-files, you first start the burn-software by doubleclicking on the symbol of "Nero StartSmart":

Click on the symbol "Copy and Backup", then "Burn image to Disc"

Type "c:\temp" in the file name field, then click "Open".

Open the list behind "Files of type" and choose "Image Files..." in the list.

Now the downloaded ISO file is shown in the window. Mark the file, then click"open".

Click "Next" and wait until the burn process has finished.
After that, click on "OK" , then on "NEXT". You can close Nero by clicking on "exit". Click this button to end StartSmart:

How to burn EXE-files
To burn EXE files, launch the burn program by doubleclicking on the symbol of Nero StartSmart (on your desktop):

Next you click on "Data" and then on "Make Data Disc".

Now a new window opens, and you can click the "Add"-button to select the files to be burned:

Locate "Local Disk (C:)" in the list, which is shown below:"

Double-click on "Temp" to find your downloaded EXE files.

First click on the name of the downloaded program, then on "Add", finally on "Finished".

Click on "Next" and in the following window on "Burn":

If the following message is shown, then burning was successful. Click "OK":

Finally, click "Next", then on "Exit" in Nero. The program will ask you to store the project. You should click "No".
Finally you come back to StartSmart, which you can close by clicking on the large button:
