Research Philosophy
We focus our research on the management of innovation processes and new technologies. Therefore our goal is to identify and analyse strategic, organizational, and methodological issues that have significant impact on the success of new product development.
The core of our research conception are empirical studies. Therefore, the results of our research efforts are supposed to deliver concrete suggestions for real-world business applications.
As technology and innovation management is positioned at the interface of engineering on the one hand and business on the other hand, we regard an interdisciplinary research approach as most promising. This philosophy is reflected by the different educational background of our staff as well as by our active cooperation with various engineering departments of the Technical University Hamburg-Harburg.
