Those of us who will be in Cebu City during the last two weeks of February should count ourselves lucky. For
internationally-lauded artist, Paulina Constancia, will be holding her last exhibit in the Philippines. Well, maybe not the
last exhibit but it sounds like that for a very long time. She will soon be leaving our shores for another place where art
is celebrated everyday.
Entitled Kiss and Bliss, viewers are invited to a celebration of Love at the Lobby of the Waterfront Hotel in Lahug,
anytime from 10 am – 7 pm from February 15 - 28.
Paulina Constancia's string of accomplishments includes one-woman exhibits in notable galleries in Mexico, Vermont, New York,
Canada plus two exhibits in the Netherlands. In the Philippines, she presented her works in Manila at Shangrila Edsa Plaza
Hotel and the Ayala Museum. Her fans in Cebu have followed her shows from Montebello Villa Hotel to CAP Art Center to SM Art Center.
Paulina Constancia was also featured in various publications such as the Reader's Digest Asia-Pacific Edition, and the book,
Cebu: More than an Island, published by the Ayala Foundation.
Cebu is very proud of this homegrown talent, yes, she is our very own, our fellow-Cebuano. Over the years, the famed artist
has developed her own personal and distinctive style which is becoming identifiable as uniquely her own. Her works embody her
true spirit as an artist.

The exhibit Kiss and Bliss is a celebration of love between two friends, or two family members, or two lovers.
Kiss and Bliss captures Love between two persons and yet because it is Love and no other, it becomes as far-reaching
and extensive, as powerful and dynamic, expanding to be as broad and as wide as the world.
All this in the Kiss and Bliss exhibit and only for a very short two weeks before we bid Paulina Constancia bon voyage.
